The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office is among the most competitive agencies in the Southeast. Starting salaries range from $15.90 to $29.89 per hour, depending upon experience and education. Officers possessing a degree of higher education receive a 3% salary increase for each degree earned. Additionally, bi-lingual pay is available for officers who are fluent in speaking, writing and reading Spanish. Beaufort County Sheriff's Office pay and longevity policies enable our officers to continually receive salary increases at set intervals based upon evaluation and performance.

Training
The Training/Support Section of the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office is responsible for all aspects of Sheriff's Office training, class preparation, annual re-qualification, certification, equipment supply, uniform supply, Auditor's Office enforcement and other administrative tasks as directed.
