H.R. 218: LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS SAFETY ACT

Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act of 2004 - Amends the Federal criminal code to authorize a qualified law enforcement officer carrying photographic governmental agency identification to carry a concealed firearm, notwithstanding any State or local law.

 

Due to the previous COVID-19 health concerns, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office will host two days in May 2021 to assist individuals with obtaining their certification.  Future dates in 2021 will be determined later. 

ONLY 24 SLOTS PER DAY ARE
AVAILABLE ON MAY 4TH & 5TH.

May 2021 scheduled dates:​​

  • May 5, 2021 (Wednesday) @ 1000

Attendance will be expected at 1000 AM at the Beaufort County Firearms Range located at 120 Shanklin Rd., Beaufort, SC 29906. 

To attend you must fill out and submit the form below and bring the following with you on the date selected:

  1. Photocopy of current Driver’s License

  2. Photocopy of retired Law Enforcement Credential from your Agency

  3. Weapon and holster you intend to qualify with

  4. Twenty five rounds of ammunition

  5. Ballistic vest (loaner will be available if you do not have one).
