Lieutenant Andrew Faucett
Lieutenant Faucett is a Colorado native and after graduating from high school he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He served active duty from August 1988 through April 1995, reaching the rank of Sergeant prior to exiting active service and receiving an “Honorable Discharge”. His military service brought him to the Low Country in 1989, serving at MCAS Beaufort with VMFA 312 and VMFA 451.
Prior to and upon leaving active duty service, Lieutenant Faucett’s Law Enforcement career began in February 1992 as a Reserve Police Officer with Beaufort Police Department, eventually being hired full-time in March of 1995. He served with Beaufort Police Department until September of 1999 when he was hired by the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office. He served the Sheriff’s Office until later in 2007 where he then worked for the Westminster Police Department in Colorado. Lieutenant Faucett returned to Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office in 2010 after being convinced the Low Country was his home.
Lieutenant Faucett has spent most of his career in uniformed patrol positions, progressing upward through the ranks. He has served as a Patrol Officer, Motor Patrol Officer, Drug Task Force Narcotics Investigator, Marine Patrol Officer, Assistant Patrol Shift Supervisor and Patrol Shift Supervisor. Additionally he served over nine years on the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team. In August of 2016 Lieutenant Faucett was promoted from Patrol Shift Supervisor to Master Sergeant Southern Enforcement Branch, where he was responsible for the day to day operations of the four Southern Patrol Shifts and the Southern Enforcement Unit.
Lieutenant Faucett was promoted to his current rank December 2020. He has extended experience as an instructor in numerous areas relevant to Law Enforcement and he holds certifications in many additional areas of advanced training and professional education. He received the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office “Deputy of the Year Award” for 2003.
