On April 9, 2008 on or around 7:25 pm Beaufort County Sheriff's Deputies responded to 8 Southwood Park Drive, Hilton Head in reference to a report of a fight in progress. Deputies arrived and discovered the victim (identified as 19-year-old black male, Harry Fripp) being treated by Hilton Head Emergency Medical Services for apparent stab wounds. Fripp was transported to the Hilton Head Hospital for treatment but later succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators are looking for three subjects described as black males driving a white four door Mercedes, tinted windows displaying a Georgia tag.
