Suspect Arrested for Trafficking Cocaine |

On February 6, 2008 members of the Beaufort/Jasper Multi Agency Drug Task Force, along with the Jasper County Sheriff's Office conducted an investigation into a residence being used to sell and distribute illegal drugs, located at 32 Riverside Drive in Hardeeville, South Carolina (Jasper County). Investigation resulted in the arrest of a total of six (6) subjects being arrested. During the investigation, it was learned that a subject later identified as Rahein Singleton had purchased approximately nine (9) ounces of cocaine from the residence on Riverside Drive. A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle near U.S. Highway 278 and Simmonsville Road in Beaufort County, and Singleton was found to be the sole occupant of the vehicle. Beaufort County Sheriff's Office Canine Unit was called to the traffic stop, which resulted in the Canine having a positive reaction to the presence of illegal drugs being in the vehicle. Deputies conducted a search and located approximately nine (9) ounces of cocaine in the vehicle. Members of the Task Force conducted a second traffic stop on a vehicle seen leaving the residence. This traffic stop took place near Highway 46 and Coleman Loop in Jasper County and resulted in two subjects being charged with Simple Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Crack Cocaine, Driving under Suspension and Giving False Information to a Police Officer. (During this traffic stop, Ted Ellis gave deputies a false name upon his arrest.) A search warrant was obtained for the residence located at 32 Riverside Drive Hardeeville, South Carolina. At the execution of the search warrant, three additional subjects were located in the residence and detained. During their search of the residence, deputies located more illegal drugs to include: marijuana, crack cocaine, and cocaine. Charges:
