The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery that occurred last night at the La Guadalupana store on the northern end of Hilton Head Island.

At approximately 9:00 pm last night, two masked Hispanic males entered the store, which is located at 160 William Hilton Parkway. Both men were armed with handguns, and both were wearing camouflage shirts and dark pants. The suspects demanded money from the clerk, both speaking first in English, but then switching to Spanish.

After taking an undisclosed amount of cash from the clerk, the suspects fled the store on foot in an unknown direction of travel. No injuries were sustained by the clerk, and no patrons were in the store at the time the incident occurred.

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office K-9 Tracking Team responded to the scene to assist in the search but no contact was made with either suspect.

Both suspects were described as being approximately 5'10" and of medium build. One suspect was noted to have light-colored eyes.
