The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery that occurred in the parking lot of Bluffton House apartments last night.

At approximately 7:30 pm last night, a 29-year-old male victim was walking through the parking lot at Bluffton House Apartments, located at 20 Simmonsville Road, when he was approached from behind by an unknown male suspect.

The suspect demanded money, and when the victim refused, the suspect put what was believed to be a handgun to the back of the victim's head. The suspect then removed the victim's wallet from his pants pocket and fled on foot towards nearby Simmons Cay Apartments.

The victim sustained no injury during the incident. The suspect was described as a male of unknown race, approximately 6'00", medium build, wearing a ski mask, a black hooded sweatshirt, and blue jeans.

The Sheriff's Office K-9 Tracking Team responded to assist in the search for the possible suspect, however no suspect was located.
