Investigation Continues into Suspicious Okatie Fire

The investigation continues into the cause of the fire that destroyed an Okatie home last Sunday.

Beaufort County Sheriff's Office investigators have been working in conjunction with members of the SLED Arson Investigation Team to determine the series of events that led to the fire at a Davis Road residence in the early morning hours of November 25th.

Just before 1:00 am on November 25th, Sheriff's deputies along with firefighters from the Bluffton Township Fire Department responded to the residence located at 79 Davis Road in reference to a reported fire. Upon their arrival, the home was found to be fully engulfed in flames.

At this time the fire is being considered suspicious in nature, and investigators are asking for help from the community. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact Beaufort County Sheriff's Office Investigator Cpl. Novak at 843-842-4111, ext. 256.
