Third Suspect Arrested in Ballpark Road Home Invasion

A third suspect has been arrested in connection with the June 15th home invasion of a Ballpark Road residence.

Twenty-year-old Tyrice Shavon Washington of Seabrook turned himself into Sheriff's deputies yesterday afternoon at the Beaufort County Detention Center. Washington was wanted on outstanding warrants for Burglary 1st, Kidnapping, and Armed Robbery.

At approximately 10:00 am on the June 15th, Washington along with two other suspects, 19-year-old Mark Delaney, Jr. and a 14-year-old juvenile, broke into the residence located at 24 Ballpark Road in Seabrook. They forced an air-conditioning unit out of a bedroom window to make entry to the home.

Once inside, they held the two female residents of the home at both gunpoint and knifepoint while they bound them with rope. The suspects proceeded to ransack the home, stealing money and various personal items. They then fled the scene, leaving the victims bound in a bedroom. The victims were eventually able to free themselves and contacted 9-1-1.

Washington's co-defendant, Mark Delaney, Jr., was arrested on June 26th. The 14-year-old juvenile co-defendant was arrested on October 12th.

Washington currently remains in the detention center on a bond of $50,000. Delaney also remains in the detention center on a bond of $60,464.
