The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office is investigating the Friday night murder of a St. Helena man. At approximately 10:30 pm on November 10th, Sheriff's deputies responded to the residence located at 15 Peanut Lane on St. Helena Island in reference to a report of a male found deceased inside the home. Upon arrival, deputies found 36-year-old Lee Anderson of St. Helena, lying on the kitchen floor in a pool of blood. He had apparently been shot twice, once in the face and once in the back. Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene by Coroner Curt Copeland. No further information is available at this time as the investigation remains active. Investigators continue to follow up on all leads and information.
