An investigation conducted by members of the Beaufort/Jasper Multi-Agency Drug Task Force led to the arrest of four individuals suspected of involvement in drug activity.
At approximately 6:00 pm last night, DTF officers accompanied by Jasper County Sheriff's Office deputies executed simultaneous search warrants at two locations in Hardeeville. The search warrants were a result of a drug investigation into the suspected drug related activities of 49-year old Furman Anthony Bush.
During the course of the investigation, officers learned that the residences located at 186 School Cut Rd and 567 Deerfield Rd were being used by Bush to sell, distribute, and store illegal drugs and drug sales paraphernalia. Search warrants were obtained for both locations, and as a result of the searches, the following four suspects were arrested:

The following property and contraband was seized pursuant to the search warrants and SC seizure laws:
- 7.7 grams of crack cocaine
- 5 grams of powder cocaine
- 3.6 grams of marijuana
- 2001 Chevy Tahoe (belonging to suspect James Eugene Chisholm, Jr.)
- $2,370 in US currency
- 1-High Point .45 caliber handgun (reportedly stolen out of the State of Alabama )
All suspects were transported to the Jasper County Detention Center where they remain awaiting bond hearings. |
