Captain Scott Johnson

Captain Scott Johnson is a native of Huntington, West Virginia. After graduating from Huntington East High School in 1983, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served with the 82nd Airborne Division, B Company 307th Engineer Battalion.

After receiving an honorable discharge, Johnson attended Marshall University in Huntington, WV and received a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice with a Minor in Sociology. While pursuing a Criminal Justice degree, he completed two internship programs with the Ashland Police Department in Kentucky and the Kentucky Coalition for Highway Safety.

Captain Johnson began his Law Enforcement career with Beaufort County Sheriff's Office in 1990. Johnson has attended over 100 specialized seminars and training conferences and has acquired numerous instructor certifications.
