Lieutenant Brian Chapman

Lieutenant Brian Chapman was raised in Chesnee, South Carolina.  After graduating from Chesnee High School, he enrolled in the University of South Carolina where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2001.  He worked in the private sector for one year before moving to Beaufort, South Carolina and was hired by the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office. 

Upon graduation from the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy, he was assigned to Patrol Division.  He was later transferred to the Investigations Section where he was promoted through the ranks, obtaining Master Sergeant.  In 2016, Lt. Chapman was promoted to his current rank and transferred to the Crime Suppression Unit.  As of January 2018, he was assigned to the Northern Investigations Section of the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.  He has attended numerous schools and is Specific Skills Instructor.
