Captain Kyle Blackmon is a native of Ridgeland, South Carolina.  He moved to Columbia South Carolina and graduated from Dutch Fork High School in 1997.  While attending the University of South Carolina and Midlands Technical College, he served in a Charge of Quarters position with the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division.

In 2000, Captain Blackmon began his law enforcement career with the South Carolina Highway Patrol and was assigned to Beaufort County.  In 2002, he transferred to the State Transport Police and worked in seven counties encompassing the low country of South Carolina.  Captain Blackmon began his career with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s office in March of 2004.  Blackmon has attended many specialized schools and has acquired multiple instructor certifications.
